Picture Story

Here's an exercise which I did with my young students (8-10 years old) back in May 2018:

Write a story about an incident at home. The following pictures are not arranged in sequence. They are provided to help you think about this topic. You may use one, two or all the pictures to write your story.

Base on the above pictures, my students and I came up with two versions of the picture story, over three sessions. I shall them in the next two posts.

Suffice to say, I took them through the Narrative Arc Planning process first before writing. I encouraged them to use A.P.B. , dialogue and vivid verbs to craft their characters.

This blog is dedicated to children, youths and all the young-at-heart with one simple aim: to encourage all to celebrate life

Whether it's sunny or rainy, sweltering heat or wintry cold, work deadlines or impending examinations, wake up and smell the tea (or coffee), savour the warm toasts (with honey or kaya-butter), breathe and dance through life with both words and deeds.
