In order to help my GP students to remember their paragraph structural elements, I came up with a PEAR method.
The P.E.A.R.
to Argumentative/ General Paper Writing
P- Point / Purpose stated
E- Explain / Elaborate / Exemplify
A- Acknowledge opposite views / Appeal
R - Reiterate Point / Relate back to the question
